Step-by-step installation

1

Get your license key

After subscribing, you'll receive an email from Lemon Squeezy with your license key. It looks like: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Can't find the email? Check your spam folder or search for "Lemon Squeezy" in your inbox.
2

Enter your key at /portal

Go to customebaytemplates.com/portal, paste your license key, and click Activate Access. Your key is saved in your browser — you won't need to enter it again on the same device.

3

Generate your listing HTML

Go to the Generator and:

  • Select your product category
  • Choose a template style (Classic, Modern, Bold, etc.)
  • Fill in your product details: title, price, features, description, images
  • Add optional sections: tabs, Q&A accordion, YouTube video
  • Preview your listing in real-time on the right
Use HTTPS image URLs only. Upload your product photos to eBay's photo uploader first, then right-click → "Copy image address" to get the URL.
4

Copy your generated HTML

When you're happy with the preview, click Copy HTML or Download HTML. The entire listing template is in a single .html file.

5

Open eBay's listing editor

Start a new listing on eBay (or edit an existing one). Scroll to the Description section.

Make sure you're in eBay's full listing form, not the quick-listing tool. The quick-listing tool doesn't expose the HTML editor.
6

Paste your HTML into the description

In the description box, look for the HTML button or a <> icon in the toolbar to switch to source/HTML view. Paste your copied HTML, then switch back to the visual view to confirm it looks correct.

If eBay shows a warning about active content, it's referring to JavaScript. Our templates use no JavaScript — you can safely dismiss this warning or it may not appear at all.

Where to host your images

eBay requires all images in your HTML description to be hosted on an HTTPS (secure) URL. Here are your best options:

eBay Photo UploaderRECOMMENDED

Upload your listing photos in the Photos section, then right-click each to copy the URL. Free and reliable.

Cloudinary

Free tier, 25GB storage. Great for managing product images across multiple listings.

Amazon S3

Reliable if you already use AWS. Requires a bit of setup but scales well.

Imgur

Quick and free, but not ideal for commercial use. Fine for testing.
